They carried the wounded out of battle on their own backs. They carried them back and forth. I have stories that as I, you know, I had the honor of giving out a lot of Medal of Honors and some of the stories, I’m reading them. I’m reading, I like to be a little prepared, so I had studied it a little bit before I went up there and discussed it. And I said, boy, these people are brave.
