‘My main concern is cognitive offloading’

EXCERPT:

WEINGARTEN: “In May, I did a speech called ‘Devices Down, Hands On, Eyes Up,’ to try to do a whole blueprint on all of this. My main concern is — I mean, this may sound blasphemous — my main concern is not cheating. My main concern is learning. My main concern is cognitive offloading and that, you know, what Jonathan Haidt and Jared Covey (ph) and others have seen. So that’s why we called for no screens K-2, which L.A. and New York are now doing.”
