David Rohde Debunks Trump’s 9/11 Rescue Narrative: ‘It’s Insulting’

ROHDE: “I was there, several of us were there that day. I was standing two blocks away as the buildings burned. When the South Tower came down, I ran for my life. And then when the second one came down again, I was there all day. I worked as a photographer at Ground Zero. You think of all those workers who were searching for bodies. He died of cancer several years ago. His name was Ed Keating. He took this amazing picture of a tea set covered in dust. Tea set’s now in the 9/11 museum. He’s gone, you know, because he tried — he spent weeks and months there documenting the cleanup. So it is, I think, you know, insulting.”
