RANTZ: “The messaging is not for you. It‘s not for me. It‘s not for anyone at this table. It‘s specifically for the base. That‘s what this is for. It‘s to generate some excitement going into so-called Trumpalooza over the course of the next two days. It‘s separate from the message that you‘re going to hear, presumably on that stage tomorrow night and over the next couple nights, about some of the successes. I know folks like to always focus on the negative, and I would too if I‘m the opponent, right, you always focus on the negative, but with respect to the economy, the jobs numbers that came out just last week were a huge success for this president. We have crime that‘s going to record low levels, violent crime specifically. We actually have a president who brought down, helped bring down the price of drugs, which presidents have been talking about for a very long time."
