NEWSOM: “Of course. But it’s — I mean, he wants to bury me. Look, I’ve gone after the king. I’m not messing around. I know what happens when you do that. He’s the t-rex. You either mate with him or he devours you. That’s Trump. Most folks aren’t going triple-digit days doing all-cap tweets attacking the president. Most folks aren’t going out here reminding everybody of the grift and corruption of the Trump family, the Witkoff family, the Lutnick family, the Kushner family, explicitly with receipts. That comes at a cost. 14 months they’ve been going after me, couldn’t find a damn thing. So, now all of a sudden, they’re zigging and zagging, looking elsewhere. And that’s why I made it public. I hadn’t said a word. I just sucked it up over the last year and a half.”
