Ted Cruz: There Are Five, Six, Seven Senate Seats that Could Go the Wrong Way

EXCERPT:

CRUZ: “And you have a dynamic, what I described earlier in the Paxton race, we see it all over the country, which is the left is energized and the right, look, Republicans are in charge of the White House and Congress, they feel a little complacent, sometimes they are unhappy about this or that, I get all of that. There are times to say, 'We ought to be doing more, we ought to be accomplishing more.' That being said, the last two years with President Trump and a Republican Congress, we have won more conservative victories than any time since you and I have been alive. So, our job is real simple and it's turnout. We've got to get folks — look, this cycle right now, we're two months out, it looks bumpy. There are five, six, seven Senate seats that could go the wrong way. My hope is we turn that around, that people focus on do you want a commonsense agenda, low taxes, low regulation, lots of jobs, securing the border, locking up criminals, or do you want to embrace the direction the new Democrats have gone, which is Marxism and Islamism? I mean, that's — that's where they are and that's a terrible direction for our country."
