Ben Ferguson: Ken Paxton ‘Is Not a Flawed Candidate’
EXCERPT:
FERGUSON: “Look at Ken Paxton. He's not a flawed candidate. If he was, he wouldn't have been able to beat an incumbent in the primary, spending like $2 a vote compared to almost $130 for the sitting Senator John Cornyn on the Republican primary."
CORKE: "Mm-hmm."
FERGUSON: "If he was flawed, he wouldn't have real momentum, right? And so I look at his win, whether it's in the first primary or in the runoff, he did it by spending almost no money compared to Cornyn. Cornyn had unlimited funds coming in from establishment RINOs in D.C., he had the Senate fund behind him, he had so many special interest groups, and he still got beat. So I don't see him as a flawed candidate. I see him as a MAGA candidate, America's first candidate. That's why the president endorsed him, and that's why I think ultimately on Election Day he's going to win.”
