CARR: “We have launched a total crusade against illegal robocalls and we’re doing it differently in the Trump Administration. We’re kicking providers out of the system so they can’t participate at all We’re making it harder for bad actors to get access to telephone numbers in the first place But I think you’re going to see us continue to ramp up including looking at overseas call centers There’s a lot of Americans whether it’s just for customer support or otherwise they get transferred to a call center overseas and there’s cultural barriers there’s language barriers. It’s incredibly frustrating and the FCC is working hard to see about onshoring some of those call centers back here”
