SCALISE: “Just know, everybody on the far-left who hates this president is showing up. And President Trump understands this. I was at that dinner with him last night and he and I talked about this. We talked about the convention that’s going to happen next week. First time ever where you’ve had a midterm convention. This president is all in and there’s no leader of a party, Republican or Democrat, that is better at firing up their base than Donald Trump. President Trump is going to be on that stage next week in Dallas talking to voters across the country, number one, laying out the differences. We’ve cut taxes, put more money in the pockets of families, we’re working to make life more affordable. And we aren’t done. We aren’t where we want to be because we had a big mess to mop up, but, by the way, all of those indicators are coming down, inflation is coming down, interest rates are coming down. You know, everybody was talking about egg prices when Joe Biden was in office.”
