Dem Rep. Garcia: We’ve Asked Chairman Comer to Hold Hearings Following the USPS Whistleblower Disclosure

GARCIA: “Obviously, we have a whistleblower who has made very serious disclosures. We can now confirm that after our lawyers spoke with folks familiar with the whistleblower disclosures, that Heather Dyer, who is the chief information security officer at the USPS, we are now investigating and we now have serious questions for Miss Dyer. We have also, along with asking questions of Miss Dyer, we have reached out to the Inspector General at the USPS and have serious questions to ensure that we have a fair investigation. We’ve also asked Chairman Comer to immediately hold hearings on a very serious matter. And of course, we have questions directly of the USPS postmaster, of which we’ve also sent questions. So, there is a lot happening today, and certainly since we got word from the whistleblower just a day ago.”
