ALEXANDER: “We should start asking all governors if they would be willing to send their National Guardsmen there if the president tried to make something of that kind happen. I think at the end of the day, what it does really, Mike, is it will motivate Democrats. Because the one thing in particular that the Democrats feel strongly a sense of is their responsibility to participate in this upcoming election. They don't want to see it taken away from them. They recognize the stakes, and Donald Trump is only seeing his support shrink right now in such a way that there is not the same motivation. The people supporting him, support Donald Trump, but they don't necessarily support exactly what he's doing.”
