Leader Thune: Dems Have Embraced Socialist Wing of Party

‘Elections are different’

EXCERPT:

THUNE: “They’re all margin of error races, Martha. They’re all very competitive, but we have the high, really high-quality candidates. I think we’ve got a very compelling argument and story to tell and we’re going to make sure that those candidates are well resourced. I do think it’s really important, our candidates are going to have to draw contrast with the Democratic opponents. The Democrats in this country in many cases have gone so far left, they are — they’ve embraced the socialist wing of their party and that’s going to put them completely out of the mainstream with the American people. But your candidates have to get out and define their opponents and give voters a choice. Elections are about differences, Martha. And the choice could not be more clear in terms of the direction for the country that their candidates want to take us and our candidates. So, it’s a — Americans are going to have a very clear choice. We just got to make sure they turn out and vote and ensure that we keep this country headed in the right direction.”
