David Drucker: Trump’s Threats Against Journalists Are All About ‘Undermining’ the Truth

‘He likes to try to intimidate people’

EXCERPT:

DRUCKER: “This is Trump politics if you will, right? This is all about him and the wielding of power as you say. Notice the term 'freely given public airwaves,' by which he means airwaves that the federal government that I control control. And he likes to try and remind everybody, and he likes to try to intimidate people by saying that these are things you use that you think you have a right to use but actually that I could take away from you. And most of the time the president's threats against the press are simply that. They're about undermining whatever truth exists that he doesn't like, facts that are unassailable that he doesn't like.”
