James Talarico: ‘We Should Be Cutting Taxes for Small Local Businesses, Not Giant Multinational Corporations’
RUSH EXCERPT:
TALARICO: "About about you, Mark, is that you are fighting for old school capitalism. Which is all about actual competition. And that’s not the system we have now. Now we have crony capitalism and, and so. I, I think that we should be cutting taxes for small local businesses, not giant multinational corporations that can buy politicians in Washington. I. I think we should be, I think we should be betting on the CEOs in their garages, not the CEOs on their mega yachts, because. Because That’s where the next great American company is gonna come from. And, and so how do we, how do we one create rules of the road that, that help the little guy with a big idea. Right? That small business owner with a dream and and who is actually supporting and employing folks in the community, um, you can’t. Being pro-business can’t just mean being pro big business, and that’s really what it means nowadays. Um, and so if you’re, if you’re not pro competition, you’re actually pro business. If you’re trying to protect these monopolies, if you’re trying to protect this. Anti-competitive. Consolidation, you’re not actually a capitalist.”
