Colorado Secretary of State: We Have Contemplated Using Private Sector Postal Delivery for Mail-In Ballots, but It Would Be ‘Extremely Costly’
‘It is actually not feasible’
RUSH EXCERPT:
GRISWOLD: "That’s a great question. And so, for example, using private sector postal delivery is something we have contemplated in the past, especially during the pandemic, when there was uncertainty of the postal service. And it is actually not feasible. It would be extremely costly, number one. And number two, a lot of those private mail delivery systems will not carry mail all the way into very rural areas. So for various reasons, it is not feasible. And I think the I guess I’m a little bit more optimistic on this not being implemented for the midterms for various reasons, one of which is we are 66 days away from Election Day military and over ballots are going out in three weeks.”
