Gov. Abbott: James Talarico Is a ‘Pathological Liar’

ABBOTT: “So, this is exactly an endemic of Talarico’s campaign. He is a pathological liar and he’s been lying throughout the entire campaign and he’s been able to get away with it because he’s been able to run these fake TV ads that are full of lies that are only now being exposed. I’ll give you just one quick example. One of his earliest ads was him walking out of a store, walking to his pickup truck, a rented pickup truck, I think, and talking about how he lowered property taxes in Texas. The opposite is the truth. He voted to raise taxes in Texas, including property taxes. He voted for an income tax in the state of Texas. He is a liar about everything he is saying. What I think is happening now, however, is that Texans and Americans are beginning to see through the thin facade of who he really is and they see the pathological liar that he truly is. I think that will begin the dismantling of his campaign, and at the same time people will realize, the guy who will — who lives up to what he says he will do for the state is Ken Paxton, and they will vote for Ken Paxton over Jimmy Talarico.”
