Sen. Kennedy: ‘Democratic Socialism, in One Sense It’s an Oxymoron, but in Another Sense It’s Just a Regular Moron’
EXCERPT:
KENNEDY: “Well, the issue is what kind of change. Here is — here is the Democratic Lululemon’s version of change. Open the prisons, open the border. Let illegal immigrants vote. Defund the police. Defund ICE. Make all housing public. No more private ownership of housing. That’s part of the Democratic Socialist agenda. They think the problems in America are caused by private ownership and profits. They’re socialists. This — and they pretty it up. You know, change is coming. We can have a better life. You can — you can put — you can put perfume on a pig, but it still stinks. And if people will stop and think, and many will and eventually will come to the same conclusion, that all of this is something out of Wayne’s World. Democratic socialism, it’s — in one sense, it’s an oxymoron. Democratic socialism. But in another sense, it’s just a regular moron. And nature abhors a moron. Every country in the world that has tried socialism has rejected it. And, you know, I think, I trust the American people. They’ll figure it out. Now, from a selfish point of view, this stuff is good for my party’s politics.”
