KING III: “For those of you who are not familiar with that story, it’s about a man named Rip Van Winkle who fell asleep for 20 years and didn’t recognize what had transpired during his nap. In that message, dad stated, the real tragedy of the tale wasn’t that Rip slept for 20 years. The tragedy was that he missed the opportunity to effect change in his community during a major transition from King George to President George Washington. Well, it’s now 2026, and we have dictator wannabes who try to minimize, with a silly focus on semantics, the vital importance of our being aware, or awake, if you will, to the many unjust and inhumane changes taking place now and over the last 20 years.”
