Dem Rep. Castro: Gov. Abbott Made a ‘Shameful Decision’ by Refusing to Extradite the Charged ICE Agent to Minn.

CASTRO: “That's a shameful decision by Greg Abbott. And just to be clear, Peter, about what this agent did, he shot through a door, a closed door, where there were six people inside, including children. And then he totally lied about what happened and he got caught. And so the Texas Rangers went out and arrested him and picked this guy up and put him in jail. How often do you see that happening? And so with this very violent, brutal guy, Greg Abbott is refusing a very routine request by another state, which is to extradite this guy so that he can be tried for these crimes. So again, it's corrupt. It's done simply for the sake of politics.”
