Davidson County, N.C. Commissioners Unanimously Vote to End Flock Camera Program

KAFKAS: “Well, the flock cameras will be taken down as soon as today, and all 25 of them should be taken down within the next 30 days. Now, the decision to take these 25 cameras down came after taxpayers pushed for weeks to deflock the area. They argue the devices do more than just read license plates and they worry about law enforcement misuse, data tracking, and mass surveillance. Well, the sheriff's office argues the cameras have helped them solve crimes and find missing people. To the people living here in Davidson County, the flock cameras aren't worth the cost.”
