MURPHY: "The Democratic Party has become a shrinking coalition because of these litmus tests. Now, all of those litmus tests are on issues that are really, really important, right, but it’s created a tent that’s really, really small, I would argue that our two tent polls as a party should be pretty simple: that we’re gonna unrig the economy to give less power to corporations and more powers to our workers, and we’re going to unrig the democracy, we’re gonna get billionaire and corporate power out of our politics. Okay, if you agree with those two things, I want you in the tent. And if you disagree with me on other issues that I feel are really important, like guns or climate or gay rights, let’s have that conversation.”
