Marc Short Says Trump Doesn’t Really Care About the Midterms, ‘He Said Himself He’s Not Invested in the Midterms’

‘I know that surprises people’

TRANSCRIPT:

SHORT: "Well, look, I think that the president, to David's point, does have a lot he could talk. He could talk about securing the border. He could talk about the tax break. He could talk about the markets being at all-time highs. But honestly, I don‘t think the president really cares about the midterms. And I know that surprises people and they say, 'Well, how could that be? He‘s been impeached twice.'"
SANCHEZ: "He could be impeached again."
SHORT: "He looks at it as, 'I‘ve defeated them twice. And they‘ve said they sent the DoJ after me.' And candidly, he has more fun sparring with Jeffries and Schumer than he does with Johnson and Thune. And so, a lot of Republicans are counting on President Trump, but he said himself he‘s not invested in midterms and other times. And so, you know, I'm not too surprised this is where we are."
