Lancaster County Commissioner: I Spoke with the Coroner, They Have Zero Cases of Measles Deaths

PARSONS: “So, it was a big deal and I think there is transparency owed around that. There was no information released about the two individuals other than that they were unvaccinated. And the law does allow for information to be released. It can be released without identifying the individuals, but providing some demographic background information, age, that sort of thing. So, because of the, obviously there’s a lot of interest in that. Obviously, it sounds like very tragic cases. I reached out to the coroner’s office. Now, under the law, anyone who dies of a communicable disease in Lancaster County, that means measles in this case, that would have to be reported to the coroner’s office. And I had spoke at length yesterday with a senior member of the coroner staff and spoke at length this morning with the coroner himself, and they have zero cases of measles death.”
