RASKIN: “In this momentous election, I came here to endorse Abdul El-Sayed for the United States Senate. And we need Abdul in the Senate because he’s an epidemiologist, he’s a renowned public health expert, he’s the former director of the Department of Health and Human Services and Veterans Services of Wayne County, Michigan. He’s the public health authority that we need to lead the fight against all of the special interests to pass Medicare for All in America, so health care will be a basic right for all citizens and not a high-priced luxury good for the wealthy. (applause) Abdul, we’re counting on you to make it happen.”
