VAN HOLLEN: “No, I think that’s right. I mean, he is doubling down. Donald Trump is doubling down here. You know, we heard secretary say that we’re now going to have sort of the world war two version of economic pain imposed on Iran. The reality is that that’s going to come back and hit us as well. It’s going to boomerang on us. The president is now saying he’s going to punish China and other countries that have been purchasing some of Iranian oil. But at the end of the day, the people who are going to really take it on the chin are American consumers. I mean, you were just talking about how he’s also imposed new tariff taxes or threatened them on on Canada. And Canada said, we’re going to call your bluff. And so the American people are feeling this across the board. They’re feeling the economic pain that is the direct result of what Donald Trump has been doing.”
