LYMAN: "Yeah, I mean, look, this outrage itself is so performative, right, because Hasan Piker did not become some radical monster overnight. This is a man who said America deserved 9/11. He said the streets should flow with capitalist blood. He’s made extremely concerning comments about Israel and Hamas, and yet Democrats were still willing to campaign with him and appear on his platform because they thought that he could help them win the younger voter base. And now you have Hakeem Jeffries and all these other Democrats saying this is intolerable. I agree. It should never have been tolerated in the first place, but Democrats normalized anti-Semitism because that was the price they were willing to pay to keep their progressive coalition together.So they don’t get to sit here and pretend like they have some moral clarity on something that’s wrong when Hasan Piker is a monster that they themselves created and tolerated for all of these years."
