Dem Rep. Subramanyam on Illegal Immigrant Murder Suspect Who Fled the U.S.
EXCERPT:
BALLASY: "I was wondering, what do you think about the situation involving the illegal immigrants who is a murder suspect that fleed a mental hospital and then fleed the country and he was allowed to leave for 48 hours on a pass from that mental hospital and flee the United States? What do you think about this situation? What does it say about Virginia's laws?"
SUBRAMANYAM: "I think that our laws cover murder and violent crime suspects, and so if anyone commits a crime, they should be held accountable."
BALLASY: "Do you think he should have been deported and not even allowed to be in this hospital and given that pass to leave for 48 hours?"
SUBRAMANYAM: "I don’t know the details of his specific case, but if he committed a violent crime or killed somebody, then he should absolutely be held accountable. And if he should not have been in that facility, then he shouldn’t have been in that facility."
