Dem Rep. Meeks: Once We Take the Majority in January, We Are Going to Pass Bills ‘That Are Really Going to Reduce the Cost of Living’

MEEKS: “Look, I think that what Jeffries is doing and what we will do once we take the majority come January, we are going to produce and come and pass bills that are really going to reduce the cost of living for the American people. You want to work on it. You know, we will put those bills on and it‘s going to be up to the president, if we win the Senate also, to veto them or let the bills that we‘re going to put forward, because we‘re going to keep the promises that the president broke. We‘re going to get ourselves out of this tremendous — as we vote tremendously against this war in Iran, we‘re going to make sure that we‘re bringing down cost. We‘re going to make sure that we‘re going to deliver on what we‘ve talked about. We‘re going to pass those bills in the House. The president‘s decision and the administration, they can either support us or go against us. I know Hakeem Jeffries is just laying that down so that the Republicans know what we’re going to be doing once we take back the majority.”
