Eddie Glaude Jr.: ‘Facts Are Stubborn’ to Gov. Abbott Refusing to Blame Trump for the U.S. Economy
‘There’s a sense in which the American people are struggling every single day’
EXCERPT:
GLAUDE JR.: “I would write on Governor Abbott's paper, ‘Come see me.’ (Laughter) I wouldn’t give him a grade. So I think it's really important. Tim says something that's really important. Facts are bad, but facts are also stubborn. There's a sense in which the American people are struggling every single day. They're confronting high prices at the gas pump and the grocery store. And, you know, the idea of a trade policy that's going to benefit everyday, ordinary folk, given what people are experiencing on the ground, this seems to be far-fetched. This seems to be fantasy land.”
