REPORTER: “And quickly, my second question is about the U.S. Open. I know, Mayor Mamdani, you've made affordability one of your core issues. When it came to the World Cup, you gave away tickets. The U.S. Open, which happens on city-owned parkland, that gets taken for the U.S. Open for a few weeks out of the year. And generally, the public can't access a lot of the borough's largest park. It's more expensive than ever. They've reduced the number of FanFest tickets. I think they even reduced the number of cheaper tickets to favor more expensive tickets and then tickets given by sponsors. Is there anything you would want to do to make the U.S. Open more accessible to regular New Yorkers?”
