Josh Shapiro: ‘Every Time We Put a Buck in Somebody’s Pocket, Trump and His Enablers Want to Take Two Bucks Out’

SHAPIRO: "I’m proud of the fact that Pennsylvania is on the rise. But understand, every time we cut taxes, every time we put money in someone’s pockets, and we’ve cut taxes for our seniors, for families trying to afford childcare, for small businesses, every time we put a buck in somebody’s pocket, Donald Trump and his enablers want to take two bucks out. I think we are seeing the effect of those policies on Pennsylvania and the United States. But as I said before I know a bunch of you are here because you’re angry, you’re worried and you’re frustrated. Now is not the time, though, to be so consumed by the worry that we simply throw our hands up and say, 'We can’t do anything about it.' Because you can do something about it and you got real power. In 73 days, you get to exercise the greatest power you have as an American, the right to vote and the right to be able to change the course of our democracy, the right to be able to change the trajectory of our country. You’ve got the power to do that. And I would argue you’ve got a responsibility to do that."
