Matt Gorman: J.D. Vance Is Able to Dominate Media as Vice-President Which the Secy. Of State or the Secy. Of War Can’t Do
‘He did it all within the confines of his current job description’
EXCERPT:
GORMAN: "I will say, though, you know, look at this past week for J.D. Vance. He went to Middletown, Ohio, his home state and hometown, announced a $1 billion grant, and went across the street and served beer and chili coneys. And he was able to dominate local media, announce a big investment, and reinforce his biography. But more importantly, he did it all within the confines of his current job description. Secretary of State can’t do that, Secretary of War can’t do that. So I think we underestimate a lot of the inherent structural advantages of just being a sitting Vice President in a Republican primary."
