Hunter Walker: ‘We Can Win This Fight’ — Democrats Should Focus on Affordability

As you’re pointing out, you know, the name calling game, the sort of modern mccarthyism where Republicans are trying to call Democrats communists is really the turf they want to play on. You know, and I hate to bring it back to this, but I love, you know, the art of war, sun tzu, right? One of the first things he says is pick your terrain. And why would they have the fight on Republican terrain, if you will? I mean, I look at candidates like Sam forsdyke, who I’ve sat down with, and he’s running in Montana, you know, which is it’s had Democrats, but it’s a pretty red state, a pretty rural state. And he’s running on a populist agenda. Now, he wouldn’t call it socialism. Right? Right. I don’t think he’s a socialist by any means, but he’s talking about affordability. And there’s a lot of common ground in that populist space that somehow”
