Hunter Walker: Democrats Could Be Poised for Major Gains, But ‘Leaderless’ Party Risks Squandering Its Opportunity
RUSH EXCERPT:
WALKER: “Yeah. There is no single figure at the head of the Democratic Party right now. And there is this rift. But, you know, I think there would be a path forward if, you know, they took that huge opportunity that, you know, David Jolly and others have seen of running against Trump. I mean, it’s pretty simple, right? His numbers are in the gutter. Right. And the fact, as you say, that we’re even talking about Democrats taking the Senate, it’s still a bit of a tall order. But, you know, a year or so ago, that would not have even been what some would say was a realistic possibility. I think for me, when I dig into the numbers, I see a couple things. I mean, sure, maybe it’s far fetched for someone like Angie Nixon to win in a traditionally red state like Florida, right? But does that mean you need to, you know, feud with her and have that spill out into the press? I don’t think so. Right. And, you know, I think there’s been a lot of histrionics about these progressives that are winning in some cases. Some of them are fairly moderate. And also the polls show there’s broad based support for a lot of elements of their agenda."
