EMANUEL: “Doctors are not performing, you know, even at baseball player levels. Okay? We need to actually improve the quality of care. And there are many reasons in those cases that AI bots are going to be better. And I think we need to figure out how to integrate them in. But until we accept that autonomous AI is actually going to be better than doctors in some of these circumstances, I think we don’t take seriously how to integrate. I perfectly agree, we need regulation. We need to talk about liability. We need to talk about reimbursement, and we need to talk about how we’re redesigning the physician office. But this idea that AI is only going to assist, I think that’s — that is the big illusion. That is a myth. It is going to take over some of medical care. And I think the issue is, how do we regulate that and how do we test it? AI — you know, in chess, AI does better than every human and every human/AI hybrid."
