MS NOW: Trump To Be Interviewed by His Former Counsel Michael Cohen

‘You remember that Cohen’s testimony was crucial in convicting Donald Trump on those 34 counts, which leaves us wondering, what does either of them gain from burying the hatchet?’

EXCERPT:

PALMERI: “Well, first of all, when Michael asked me to call him, it was last June 2025. And when he said, I’D like President Trump’s number because he knew that I had contacted him and wrote about my report — wrote about our conversation, he knew that I had the number. So I wasn’t in a position where I was like, was I going to say, no, I’m not going to give it to you. But he said to me, Tara, I know him better than anyone else. I think I can get to him. I think I can repair this relationship. And I thought that was shocking at the time. I was like, how could they ever repair that relationship? He went to jail for 3 years, right, for the hush money payment, like you said. He spent the rest of his time after that writing a book. He’s a bestseller, Substack. He’s got YouTube shows. He’s on multiple platforms. Creating an entire career against President Trump. And yet here he is thinking that he could repair the relationship. And I was in shock. But he said, no, I know him better than anyone else. I know how I can get back into his good graces. I gave it to him, but I didn’t think that it would work, to be completely honest. Obviously, we saw in ‘The New York Times’ that shortly after I gave him that call — that phone number — he made a phone call and he — he managed to meet him in Bedminster at his private, you know, golf course. A few months later, they reconciled privately.”
