Flashback - Abdul El-Sayed: ‘The Single Biggest Obstacle to Achieving Medicare for All ... Is Racism’

‘If Donald Trump decided he wanted to run on Medicare for All, he would lose a sum total of 2 points’

EXCERPT:

EL-SAYED: “I really appreciate you bringing that up, because I actually believe that the single biggest obstacle to achieving Medicare for All in our country right now is racism. And I’ll give you a couple of pieces of evidence to structure that argument. The first is a really interesting poll that was done of swing state voters in 2020 that asked how many points Donald Trump would lose if he supported Medicare for All. And I’ll give everyone a second to clear their cognitive dissonance before I share the answer. So if Donald Trump decided he wanted to run on Medicare for All, he would lose a sum total of 2 points.”
