COX RICHARDSON: “Trump really took that business language and empowered the voters who had been grabbed on board by that idea that people of color and women were going to destroy America. And he kind of flipped the script to say that in fact what the United States government should do is to — to — to go after those people whom the Republicans had been identifying as dangerous for America for a long time. So he’s kind of the end of a rhetorical device that the Republicans have used for a long time, but he’s also something new in that he is openly now embracing the destruction of American democracy in favor of an autocracy with himself and his cronies at the head of it.”
