Sen. Cassidy on Trump’s Vaccine Order: It Can Decrease the Protection That a Child Would Receive Against Diseases, ‘Which Can Be Deadly’

‘This is the wrong thing to do’

RUSH EXCERPT:
CASSIDY: "Totally. Again, as a physician who has seen people either die or get seriously ill from from diseases that can be prevented by vaccines, this has the potential to decrease the the protection that a child would receive against diseases which can be deadly and so, uh, that‘s why Jay Bhattacharya, by the way, the NIH director, a physician, the president‘s appointee, when he said that this has nothing, that vaccines have never been shown to have any influence over the incidence of autism is kind of like the only Rationale for this doctor who has credibility from the administration, saying there‘s no Rationale for it. So I‘ll go back to if you want to do something which is good for the child‘s health, for the parent‘s pocketbook, for the convenience of the family, this is the wrong thing to do, and we should be focused on those things. We should be about the parent, not about some prejudice that somebody has."
