Adrienne Elrod: This Notion That the Dem Party Is Fractured or Being Governed Right Now by Dem Socialists, ‘Is Completely Overblown’

ELROD; "Yeah. First of all, we need more Terry McAuliffe out there. That’s all I have to say. It’s always great to see him. Rah rah. The troops. Look, here’s the bottom line, Alex. I think that the you know, this this notion that the Democratic Party is fractured, that, you know, we’re sort of being governed right now or driven right now by the Democratic Socialist party is completely overblown. I mean, the bottom line is dsa candidates. Yes, they’ve had some wins in places like New York City in Denver, where they won some primaries, by the way, contesting candidates that are more establishment candidates who have been in Congress for a long time. But the bottom line is you’re also seeing a lot of, you know, normie Democrats, for lack of a better term, do well in places across the country. Kate Connolly, for example, who had a very close primary in the hudson valley in New York. She did well. Haley Stevens got a lot closer. Megan and I are both very good friends with Haley Stevens and were helpful in her campaign. She got a lot closer than I will tell you. We all thought was going to happen going into the primary. So the bottom line is I think it’s a little overblown. I think a lot of this some of these progressive wins in primaries are is more due to an anti-incumbent sentiment. People just want to blow up the system. They want to see some new leadership. I think it has more to do with that than the dsa party taking over the Democratic Party."
