Michelle Goldberg on MAGA’s ‘Racist Remarks’ Against Flanagan: There’s No Dispute About Her Heritage, This Is Just Them Being Stupidly Racist

‘Meanwhile, you see her opponent, they’re laughing at this kind of really sophomoric and offensive attack’

RUSH EXCERPT:
GOLDBERG: "Well, you know, I think it’s I think it says something about their lack of imagination that this is what they’re going with. I mean, first of all, Peggy Flanagan, it’s not there’s it’s not some kind of controversial claim that she’s Native American. Her father was a very well-known Native American rights activist. There’s no controversy or dispute about her heritage. You know, this is just them sort of being stupidly and, you know, kind of not even even subtly racist. And I’ve been reading a lot about how they think that they can go after Peggy Flanagan, either for her role in the for her role with Tim waltz and the kind of fraud scandal that you’ve seen with Somali daycares and daycares in general in Minnesota. But you can just see, I think, from these attacks that they don’t have any. They haven’t kind of zeroed in on any weak point. And then meanwhile, you see her opponent, they’re laughing at this kind of really sophomoric and offensive attack, you know, which I guess is better than her being on TV and saying that the answer to higher gas prices is everybody just kind of keeping a stiff upper lip and taking taking fewer trips to Starbucks."
