Michael LaRosa: The Lesson from the Wisc. Gubernatorial Primary Is Dems Need to Stand Up to Socialists

‘We need to stand up to them and it is okay to say that these are whacky ideas’

EXCERPT:

LAROSA: “Well, there were some close races, but we still have to get to the general election. What I found was that the Midwest was really this sort of firewall and the establishment didn’t really — wasn’t able to sort of save that firewall in Michigan. However, what we saw are Governor Whitmer and Governor Evers stand up and say enough is enough. Now, they finally got off the sidelines and got involved. And when they did, that margin closed in Michigan and it was enough to get Crowley over the edge in Wisconsin. It’s a lesson from my party that Democrats need to stand up to these people. We need to stand up to them. And it’s OK to say that these are wacky ideas.”
