RHODES: “From Hegsteth we hear much about how, you know, we want testosterone and lethal war fighters and ending the woke military and things like mental health, you know, don't fit with this kind of machismo leadership that he's projecting. But the reality is Pete Hegsteth is not the one who's out there on that carrier. Like, Pete Hegsteth is not bearing any of these burdens. And so I do think that he's so swung the pendulum in the direction of a certain kind of almost like MAGA mindset, uber masculine, we don't talk about things like mental health, we certainly don't talk about things like diversity. And these are the kinds of things that fall through the cracks.”
