EGGERS: "Well, what we should know, Laura, is if we found out today that the American Cancer Society was actually secretly invested in cigarette companies and then sending them to high schools all over the country and selling them and making money off of it, while the director of the American Cancer Society was having an affair with the Marlboro Man, that’s essentially the equivalent of what this story is. Right? She said she wanted to have an impact on white supremacy groups. She is telling the truth. She funded the groups while having an affair with one of the leaders of them. It’s a massive scandal and they should be exposed and embarrassed at every level."
