Dem Rep. Greg Stanton: ‘Donald Trump Is an Authoritarian’

STANTON: “Look, Donald Trump is an authoritarian and he's tried to take power away from Congress, power that belongs to Congress. Our Founding Fathers set up our government of equal branches, separation of powers. Sadly and tragically, for the last few years, Republicans have just rolled over and not defended their role in our constitutional system as members of Congress. They just rolled over and let the president take that power. The president may assume because of that that he has this greater power. He does not.”
