Reince Priebus on Francesca Hong Possibly Winning Wisconsin Governor’s Race: ‘This Is Crazy’
EXCERPT:
PRIEBUS: "Well, okay, I don’t think it’s an easy call."
HANNITY: "That scares me. That’s scary."
PRIEBUS: "Well, because I think that the normal response has been, 'Hey, this is crazy. No one wants free groceries. Nobody believes in $20 minimum wage. We don’t want to defund the police.' And I think that’s generally true. So I think issue-to-issue, we win that. In Wisconsin, as Scott knows that better than anybody, you have 48% Republican, 48% Democrat, you have 4% in the middle. And the reality is, is that — what I perceive some of this to be is what I’ve called, and we’ve talked about it, but I've called middle finger politics, the idea that 'I hate the Republicans, I hate the Democrats, I don’t think anyone listens to me. So, yeah, maybe this stuff is kind of crazy, but I’m going to do it anyway. I’m going to vote for these nutjobs anyway and I’m going to give you what really is the middle finger to Washington, D.C.' So, I take this very seriously. This is very dangerous, very scary stuff. And I think she probably loses in November, if she becomes the nominee, but I think it’s going to be a dog fight. And anyone that thinks differently, I think — I don’t think you’re thinking through this."
