Dem Strategist: ‘The Democrats Should Be Concerned About What Is Happening in Far Left-Wing of the Party’
EXCERPT:
SUMMERVILLE: “Yeah, I think the — I think the Democrats should be concerned about what’s happening in the far left-wing of the party because it’s about to not be part of the Democratic Party anymore. I’ve just spoken with some of my colleagues from Michigan and my understanding is that the sentiment behind all of this is that people don’t really like Haley Stevens. They feel like, as a congresswoman, she hasn’t really done much for them. And so, and they feel like by voting for Abdul El-Sayed, then they’re really just voting on the issue of Israel. Haley Stevens has made very clear exactly what she wants to do. And I often say this, the culture wars that happened in the last election, right, they’re related to trans issues or whatever. This is the culture war now. It’s the line that you draw in terms of morality when it comes to Gaza and Israel. So that’s what those Michiganders feel like they’re doing, but they don’t like Haley Stevens. They think she’s supportive of data centers. She takes money from corporations like the power companies.”
