Jonah Goldberg: Hasan Piker Is a ‘Reprehensible Ideological Buffoon’ Who ‘Abuses His Dog on Camera’

GOLDBERG: “Yeah. So, I just — just for level-setting purposes, I don‘t take Hasan Piker seriously as a person. I think he‘s a reprehensible ideological buffoon. But, that said, he does represent the constituency and it‘s a very historic constituency. The radical left doesn‘t like conservatives, but man, does it hate liberals. And that crowd is very much like the most radical fringes of the Tea Party was in the Republican Party. It‘s all aimed at overthrowing the establishment. You know, the juxtaposition between Carville and Piker is very interesting to me. Carville is a guy who‘s won, I don‘t know, hundreds of political campaigns in America over 30 years, 40 years. Hasan Piker is an influencer who abuses his dog on camera. And he‘s very popular with a certain fringe bunch of people out there, but he doesn‘t care if the Democratic Party succeeds. He wins if the Democratic Party loses, and he wins if democratic socialists win. His interests are not aligned with winning in purple states, in swing states, and the like, and that’s the problem with the DSA, and a lot of DSA leaders admit as much.”
