Newt Gingrich: Democratic Socialists Are Nothing Like the Tea Party, They Represent 10 to 15% of the Country Maximum

‘The Tea Party was an uprising of people who actually represented the majority of Americans’

EXCERPT:

GINGRICH: “When you start looking at Mamdani and the kind of hardline, basically somewhere between communists and socialists, people who are running, and there may be right now at least seven of them coming to Washington in the House. Their views, unlike the Tea Party, which really stood for most Americans, the socialists that are out there now, they represent 10 or 15 percent of the country, maximum, you go out and ask people, you want to abolish ICE, you want to have open borders, you want to abolish the police, you want to have huge tax increases, you want to give away money to everybody, and then you want the huge role of transgender issues, huge role of the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel position, you take all those pieces, and they can't get a Tea Party kind of groundswell, because the things they stand for are really 10 or 15 percent maximum support by the American people.”
