WATTERS: “Becerra’s got some big, beautiful baggage. His own chief of staff and an aide just pled guilty to draining his campaign account and pocketing the cash themselves right under his nose. Now, Xavi said he had no idea. Sure.”

Tom Steyer has ads running, which now Becerra is doing a cease-and-desist letter for, saying that he absolutely knew it. It’s impossible to believe that he didn’t know. (...) That’s illegal. He broke the law. So they could be about to nominate someone who will be indicted within the next few months.”
